carries out all Horizontal and Vertical Laminar Flow units
maintenance in accordance with the requirements of BS5295:1989 or by company
in house test codes.
On a normal service visit the following checks are made. We recommend that each unit is checked once every 6 months for:-

Operation of all services and system controls. |

2. |
Filter and seal integrity tests. |
|
3. |
Inspection of the door mechanism (if fitted) for corrosion and damage. |
|
4. |
Inspection of main body for corrosion and damage. |
|
5. |
Check alarm and airflow gauge for correct operation and calibration (if fitted). |
|
6. |
Pre filter changed if necessary. |
Air inflow measurement
- Using - Airflow Developments AV2 Anemometer.
Horizontal/Vertical Laminar Flow unit - Measure airflow, a minimum of eight
positions should be used and these should be recorded on the service report.
As per requirements BS5295:1989
Filter and seal integrity tests - Using - Taylor Smoke generator and ATI forward light scattering photometer
Horizontal/Vertical Laminar Flow unit
- Determine the penetration of Hepa filters and the
integrity of filter seals and cabinet carcass using DOP aerosol and a aerosol
photometer to determine the DOP concentration.
As per requirements of Appendix B of BS5726: Part 1:1992.
Section 8.5.
Give full test certificate.
All test equipment where necessary is always calibrated
and carries a full calibration test certificate.
Any of these certificates are available on special request.
